Vacation may not be what we planned this year. Or the back up we planned but we did get a vacation in! We made the drive up to Redding yesterday. We arrived shortly before dinner time to the rental house we have for the week. First thing we did was use some cleaning wipes to make sure all the common touch surfaces had been cleaned and opened all the windows to get more air circulation. So strange to do but we know it is important to insure our safety.
Today we did some exploring around the city. Our first stop was the sundial bridge made of glass! Unfortunately it doesn't tell the correct time right now but it was very impressive to see!
There was a trail along the Sacramento river that we enjoyed. Along the way we passed Turtle Pond. Can you find the one turtle we did see?

After lunch we went to check out the sculptures around City Hall. There was a number of fountains.
And this cool whale wood sculpture. Or it can be whatever you believe!

After dinner we went back to the sundial bridge because we had noticed there were lights on the bridge. It was very cool to see it lit up in red and green!
And they are getting ready for a holiday light event that we could get a little peek of from the bridge.

There is a cool area under the bridge and with the lights it made the white mosaic tiles look really cool!
