Proud of Anna!

Matt and Anna visited Fresno State on March 21st to learn more about their animal science program and they were both very impressed and thankful for the opportunity!  Looks like Anna may be a Bulldog next year!  

Still working on sorting out all the pieces but hopefully in the next couple months we will know for sure!  It has been a hectic time applying to college and getting some good news, mixed news and some not what she wanted news.  Having to make some really hard and big decisions is tough and we are proud of her!  So excited for her!  

Spring break

Although this was spring break, we kept it nice a quiet at home, especially for Anna who got her wisdom teeth removed on Monday.  Olivier tried to carry Luna and she was brining the blanket along for the ride.  She dropped it right before I was able to get a photo!

On Sunday we hosted dinner with most of Matt's family.  I had to get a photo of these two!  So similar and they were even dressed similarly!

On Thursday Mason has a volleyball game and they got an easy win!  

After the game the sun was setting and I got this photo of the work happening to their field (they are getting turf).  Made it looks quite stunning!

And last night on my walk I got this photo of the cows enjoying some dinner.  We had gotten a decent amount of rain but it has stopped and we have had too much heat so the hills are starting to turn brown unfortunately.  

Back to school tomorrow!

Band concert season continues!

Today the wind ensemble headed to Fresno State for a concert band event.  Matt was able to see a portion when they were meeting with one of the clinicians who provide feedback to the group. 

And we got this photo from last weekend after is posted last weekend's post.  It is such a cool photo I have to share!  

First non-tournament games!

 On Tuesday, the volleyball team had their first home game and got a win!  

This is right after a nice set that Mason made before it the ball was hit over the net.  

And today they had a tough game against the high school I attended.  It was a very tight game and went to the tie breaker set.  They lost but boy did they fight for it!  And my cousin and aunt joined us!  I didn't take any photos!  This is from the third set!

Thankfully Mason isn't phased by everything going on around him, including Olivier cheering him on!

Sophomore year volleyball has started!

Today Mason's school team started their season with a tournament!  No one was really sure what to expect because the makeup of the team has shifted quite a bit but we were hopeful!  And they came away with winning the tournament!  That is a great way to start the year!  

During one of their games, Mason's coach encouraged him to really throw the ball for his jump serve which got them the set win!

And in one set he had at least six aces!  And he got the kill to win the final game!  Super excited to see how this season plays out!  

Concert day!

Today Anna and Olivier had a concert that was judged and they got feedback as a group.  Olivier had his first solo and was anxious but was trying to play it cool!

Both of them were hidden by music stands, but especially Anna!

And here is the second!  This one was/is tough and I am proud of them for tackling it! And I thought it sounded wonderful!  

After that impressive effort their instructor had them stand and I could actually see Anna!

And here is their final piece which has Olivier's solo!  There are a few silly faces he makes along the way!

Since they had reached the end of all three pieces they all stood!  

They played really well and it was nice to hear them in such an different way!  There was almost no one there because it is a judged event and not a regular concert!
