Fun at the bike park!

Today Matt was able to take Olivier to a local bike park so he could test out his skill.  It was a beautiful afternoon and the location near the beach is impossible to beat!

 

Honor Band Concert!

Today we got to hear the results of the hard work the kids have been putting into the County Honor Band.  They got dressed up and we headed to the performing arts center.

They started with the junior honor band.

After the concert the boys had a surprise from their band teacher, he got each of his students flowers and a certificate.  It is exciting to see the hard work Mr. Kutch put in teaching Anna in 6th grade, as well as Mason and Olivier in 6th and 8th grade during a concert like this!  Thank you to all those wonderful teachers!

Tornado in California?

Well, this week we had more rain but Wednesday brought something that I never thought would happen in our county, a tornado!  It was a wild day and although there was property damage, there were no injuries.  It hit just a few miles south of us.  

On Friday I attended an event which included a tour of our local news studio.  We took turns sitting at the anchor desk.  Fun to see behind the scenes!  

Enjoying a few dry days before the rain comes back late in the week.  
 

Windy weekend!

This week we had more rain and this weekend we have been hit with some wild wind!  Thankfully the amount of rain for this weekend hasn't been to the level they were predicting because the wind would have taken out even more trees and caused more issues with power outages than our area already faced.  Unfortunately LA is getting hit with all that rain which has caused lots of issues.  We are thankful that we have all stayed safe and did our best to enjoy the craziness!
