Halloween weekend!

Halloween is here!  Yesterday Anna came home from school and we went to the high school football game and she was very excited to see friends!  And Matt and Mason headed to Rancho Santa Margarita for a volleyball tournament on Saturday!  Today we did some errands to get things she needed and she carved her pumpkin so we had pumpkins from all the kids!  Can you guess who carved each?

And in a sweet surprise, Anna saw what I was wearing and we twinned!  From the same shirt and jeans, to pink ribbon pins, pony tails, and black sneakers!  Love our girl!  

Mason's team played really well and he got 9 aces!  Yes 9!!!  Here is a fun video mix of them!

He didn't just get aces, he had a lot of great play!

And they had this really great rally!  

There is a little break in travel for a few weeks for volleyball which will help the team to keep working together to get ready for the next one, this time in the bay area!

Matt and Mason got home in time for dinner and we ate together (my favorite!) and handed out candy!  Olivier and Sirena dressed up!

Keeping up the busy weekends!

This weekend was another busy weekend for the boys with the high school band competing in Anaheim which made for the first overnight trip for the band since 2015.  And Mason had another club volleyball tournament.   

Exciting Long Saturday!

Yesterday we took a road trip!  Olivier (and the school band) performed in a parade competition in Selma which is close to Anna in the morning.  She met us (Matt, Mason and I) while we cheered on Olivier and the parade block!  We were super impressed by their drum majors salute and how great they did with their march and music.  Olivier is in the second row and is the second one in!  I kind of like how these photos ended up being almost like a flip video of images.

After the parade we said hi to the band and headed to lunch.  Anna then showed Mason around campus, and he got to pet a few horses.  This one seemed to like Mason!

We then headed over to watch the field show competition!  They did great and we really love how you can tell they continue to work on it and are getting better and better!

It was a great day cheering on Olivier and spending time with Anna!  We all were very tired and thankful for a good nights sleep!

Cheese was being silly tonight and was hanging out in the sleeve of Olivier's sweatshirt!  

 

Make your own parents weekend!

This weekend was supposed to be parents weekend and that got cancelled (hopefully just postponed to the spring) but Matt kept his plans to see Anna!  And they started off by doing mosaic art projects!  

When they were done with phase 1 of their projects they headed to the stadium!  

It was a great game!  Fresno lost but I think it was much closer than expected!  And they got to see a drone show after!  

On Sunday they finished their projects!

First tournament of this club season!

This weekend Mason had his first club tournament of the season.  It is always a bit of an unknown because the team has changed a bit from last season and they shuffle the roughly 150 around to see how they should rank.  The first three games were in Seal Beach on Saturday afternoon.  

I am glad I got this photo of him setting and up in the air!

Early Sunday morning we made the rainy drive down to San Juan Capistrano for the next three games.  The gym had a strange layout and I had this view of Mason when he was getting ready to serve.

Homecoming 2026!

Today is homecoming!  These two are always up for a good laugh/pose!  First for the solemn photo.

Anna got to work with the baby horses today on sensitivity training.  Needless to say that makes for a happy Anna!

This week!

Nothing too note worthy but some photos from the week.  These are from our beautiful evenings.  

Anna went to a skills lab for the pre vet club on campus and her team won the small competition they had!  Learn by doing!  

And on Thursday she went out to the lamb unit and got to feed the babies (and all the others!).

Yesterday I went to see Anna for the day!  And I got to see her first ride at a barn close to school!  She was riding Oliver!  

And he really likes having his face rubbed, can you tell?

In the afternoon we went to a puppy yoga class!  We had a lot of fun! And yes, it was a lot more puppy time than yoga!  We got there quite early but that was fine, it meant more puppy time!

This little one really took to Anna and proceeded to fall asleep and stay asleep basically no matter what she did.  

Or who climbed on top of her!  

This one started sleeping in my lap and then decided it was better to sleep half on and half off!

As Anna moved around, the sleepy puppy moved and just kept sleeping!

She handed the small puppy off to me and she slept some more!

And with some company!

This one enjoyed Anna's lap as the time was coming to an end.  

Nice to visit Anna and try something different!
