This is how we should walk across the parking lot, right?

Lina is now 8!

I am not sure how it keeps happening but our nieces and nephews keep growing up!  Lina turned 8 this week and we joined them for a family lunch to celebrate today.  I love this photo of Lina blowing out the candles, and Anna almost helping from afar.
And the Arnold girl cousins hanging out together.  Soon Corbyn will be sitting right there with them!

Panther Pride!

Anna got an award today at school for the hard work she has done in Spanish this year!  We are all so proud of her!

"Our" hill

The kids love to hike "our" hill and now they stop at this particular spot (the boulder they call it) and wait for me to take their photo.  Maybe we are doing this too often...nah!  :-)

Fun comparison

On Mother's day there was a family photo posted in the local paper by my dad, celebrating the start of the journey to California on the train from Montreal 50 years ago.  My grandmother took all five kids on the train from Montreal to California to meet my grandfather who moved to California before them.  When I saw this photo I was shocked to see how much Mason looks like my uncle Chuck (on the right).
 What do you think?

We recently got together with Matt's brothers to get photos of all of us.  Here are some of the many photos we got.  Enjoy!

Swimming lessons

The kids are taking swimming lessons again.  This was week number three and it is good timing because the lessons at an indoor pool and the last three weeks have been rather cool on Saturday mornings.  This week they worked on swimming on their backs a lot.  Mason in particular has come a long way (at least this week).  He is the only one I took a photo of while he was floating.
But I took a video of all three swimming on their back.  Mason did great!  Anna and Olivier are getting the hang of pushing their bellies up so they can float.
And here is a video clip of them jumping in (or in Anna's case falling) and then swimming back to the wall.
