Today we celebrated the new year - at 10 p.m.! We had a busy evening with Olivier and Mason having their sports activities so we were around the county (thankfully safely!) and after getting home and showered, we hung out for a bit and opted for the 10 p.m. celebration. The kids were well setup to celebrate!

Happy New Year - 10 p.m. style!
Happy New Year!
The boys finished off the celebration with these giant confetti cannons!
It sure did leave signs of the celebration!
Last year we noticed it looked like legos and it did again this year!
We gathered it all up and it was a lot of confetti!
We wish you all the best for 2025! We hope it is filled with all you need!Wednesday, December 25, 2024
Merry Christmas!
Yesterday we celebrated Christmas with the Remillards. It was fun to hang out and we appreciated how much these kids have grown over the years!
This morning we had a surprise from Olivier who left us a little something for us! Very sweet!
Everything is ready for the kids to enjoy!
Merry Christmas! I didn't manage to take any more photos, including our time with the Arnolds! I guess that is a good thing and a sign that we were all enjoying the day!

Concert time!
On Monday night we attended the band holiday concert. After such a busy fall with many band activities, it is nice to hear them play holiday music and have a bit of a pause in their busy season! Here is Olivier's group.
And Anna's!On Wednesday night we had our first dinner as a family since last Wednesday due to our crazy schedules. And we got to have our regular game night. We had holiday games that we got last year which included inflatable antlers with rings. This year we tied it on Olivier's BB8 and it made the ring toss even more fun!
Now the kids are on winter break and looking forward to more sleep!

Rain, wind, and volleyball wins!
This weekend Matt and Mason were in Las Vegas for a volleyball tournament, but first we will start with what happened at home! Olivier has been doing more with Taz to get credit for a class as school. Nice to have him taking him out!
On Saturday there was a slight chance of rain but when it was time to wake Anna and Olivier the radar was looking like we wouldn't get any so we headed to the barn. It was quite windy but still dry. It quickly started raining, and then it quickly started pouring! It is hard to capture it in a photo!
This gives a better idea of what it was like before it started pouring!
Needless to say there was no ride! So we headed to jiu jitsu and Olivier got a workout since there were only a few kids in the class. We had a busy day and enjoyed an easy dinner and watched Home Alone! Star really enjoyed watching the movie too!
And today Anna and I went to see the Nutcracker! It was a fun performance and we are enjoying finding the changes year over year, with lots of new costumes this year! Now on to volleyball! More will be coming but on Friday they won a game and lost two but managed to keep them close. On Saturday they won two out of three games! And today was elimination day and they made it to the finals! They won their first two games and kept it very very close in the third! Very proud of their hard work and the effort they showed! Here are some short little videos taken from their teams social media page.
Including this nice block that Mason made!
And here are some photos and videos from Matt! This is a photo of a set Mason made on Friday!
On Saturday the team did an escape room. After all, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! Watch out!
And after a very successful tournament!
Videos from Friday! Mason got some aces!
And more aces from Sunday!
And a bit of a rally.
