Today we gathered for breakfast to celebrate my parents 45th wedding anniversary! Matt and I are grateful to have both of our parents close by, and each having celebrated 45 years of marriage. When they planned this a few months ago we were expecting nice weather. Needless to say the storm cloud and rain were a surprise but we enjoyed our time together!
And, the man who volunteered to take our picture just got married yesterday. In 45 years he may be standing in a photo with his children and grandchildren celebrating!
Today started with Anna getting the horse she rides tacked up and ready, then one of the older girls wore her out a bit. They both were a bit excited!

And not too much later it was time for her first event! She did awesome!
And then it was a little bit of time to kill before her next event. Apparently that is when the sun decided to burn through the fog!

She was very excited that people came to watch her today. Posing with the one ribbon she had gotten so far, the other two events still had participants competing, it was a very big group! Olivier was being camera shy.
And this shows how well she did today! Another amazing day! Well done Anna!
For Mother's Day I got some very cool self watering flower pots for the house last weekend as an early gift and today the boys gave me these sweet notes. They know how to tug at my heart stings!
Today we added a new member to our crazy clan! We have named him Taz. He is about 1 year old and is a mix with likely some German Shepherd with brindle coloring. He is full of energy but is very excited to join our clan!

Today Anna was on her horse riding game! She competed in three events and got ribbons in all three! And they were very large groups she was competing in! So very proud of her! And tomorrow we are headed back to see her compete in three more events!
Today we took the kids to the Cal Poly baseball game. They were giving away shirts and it was a Star Wars theme. We had a great time even though the only reason Mason was wearing his sunglasses was to make it easier to read. :-)
