Malahat Skywalk - fun adventure!

Today we headed to the Malahat Skywalk.  More on what that is in a bit, but on the way there they had a really nice boardwalk type structure which also had some fun activities.  This one had a marble that you needed to get through the moving pieces.
And a photo op at one point, but unfortunately the overcast sky didn't show how beautiful it was!
There are point in the US you could see on a clear day.
It wasn't clear for us though.
We still really enjoyed the view!
There was an artist who made a lot of sculptures along the path, including at the top.
I had to post this photo.  It looks like it is about to land on Matt's arm!
At bit about the artist.
And oddly I haven't said what this is yet but this is the view while standing on the net looking down to the ground below, which I think was roughly eight stories high!

This is what it looks like!  And that net is on the top floor!
This is looking down on a slide on the inner side of the structure.  I think it was about six stories high (I think!).
We had a great time going down the slide!  Matt went first and then got photos of the rest of us at the end!

This is a fun hammock area the boys were checking out.
A little bit of a better view of the top.
And information about the structure.
After eating lunch we went back up.  It was even more overcast and drizzly but most of us still went on the net.
And yes, Olivier got proof!  This is from him waiting in line for the slide looking up at us on the net!

We then took the slide down again and got a family photo! Bummer the skies weren't clear!
Then we took the walking path back to the beginning.  They had information about the boardwalk.
Check out that crazy support!

More fun art!
Matt was very excited to find banana slugs!
And they say art mimics life, right?
