Today was a very rainy day so we had to do something inside so it was a great day to check out the museum of science and industry. The kids really had a great time. And so did we which is always nice!
Mason liked a game in the science storms area where you had to determine the correct speed and angle to shoot a ball to try and make a basket across the building with a ball shooter. He also liked a game where it put us into a a scene (sort of like we were in front of a green screen) that did silly things like dance videos.
Anna liked the entire science storms section. She also liked the genetics area because they had baby chicks that had just been hatched (likely just hours before) and she was thinking about the baby chicks we saw at Uncle Bill's house. Anna also mentioned the glacier exhibit included in the Extreme Ice area where they encourage you to make an indentation into their real ice to see how the ice changes.
Olivier like all the historical race cars, science storms, the baby chicks, the real airplane that we were able to walk on and see the cockpit, the slices of the human body, and the Tesla coil (although it is too loud he said).
They had fun in the boats area.
Anna and Mason clowned around. We saw a real submarine from WWII and the kids got to play a game to see what it was like to steer one.
And drive tractors.
They weren't little...!
And sit in a combine harvester!
And we finished the day by putting them in a box. :-)
