Lighthouse!

Today we went to the White River Lighthouse with Great Grandma!  We started the day off by picking her up and the kids got to check out a basement and see the toy closet.  After a quick stop at Uncle Bill's it was off to the lighthouse.
The kids were surprised by the view of Lake Michigan.
And Great Grandma was surprised that she made it to the top of the lighthouse!

Poor Mason had bumped his head on the way up.  :-(
There is a reason they only want you to ring it once, it is LOUD!
And this is the point where Matt gives me a hard time because I just take a bunch of photos of the stuff we see.  And I contend it is the best way to remember what we saw.  :-)

The first keeper, William Robinson is the kids great great great grandpa (I think I have that right!).  He was the first keeper of the White River Lighthouse.

After checking out the lighthouse, Anna went with Matt and put her feet in Lake Michigan.  She said it is about the same temperature as the beach at home.

When we got back to the cottage, after having lunch at McDonald's with Great Grandma and dropping her off at home, Matt blew up this crazy water sea saw for the kids.
Mason caught a fish (finally!  he was sure patient about it and super happy).
We stayed up late to see the fireflies and Jupiter in the night sky.
