Santa!

Today we took the kids to see Santa after gymnastics.  Since Santa doesn't arrive until noon, we stopped at the park to have lunch before visiting.  The kids enjoyed the extra activity and I am hopeful that they will take really good naps this afternoon!  :-)

 Anna told Santa that she wants a Cinderella movie.  :-)

 Mason told Santa he wanted "a toy" for Christmas.  :-)

 

Olivier asked Santa for Mack the truck from the Cars movies.  :-)

We were amazed that all three sat on Santa's lap without crying!  They are looking forward to the holidays! 

Family Photos!

At the beginning of November we had family photos taken.  They turned out very well (especially given the kids aren't the most co-operative!).  Here are just a few of the photos we got! 

 

Boys 3 year old checkup

Today I took the boys for their 3 year old checkups.  They were very good.  First they were weighted and measured.  Then it was back to the exam room to have their blood pressure checked and wait for the doctor.  They were happy when we didn't have to wait and the doctor came right in and "tickled" their bellies and toes.  One of the things they have loved doing recently is playing doctor, so they paid close attention to everything he did.  It was very cute to see.  We have two happy and health three year olds!  And a four and three quarter year old who was disappointed she didn't go to the doctor too!  They love their doctor!

38 inches tall (50th percentile)
34 pounds (50th percentile)
92/64 blood pressure

Mason:
39 inches tall (75th percentile)
34.8 pounds (75th percentile)
98/60 blood pressure

Christmas Parade!

Today we went to the Christmas parade!  We were joined by David, Michelle, Natalie, Rhys, and my parents.  It was the perfect weather, cool but not super cold, and no rain!  :-)  

Rhys was very cute with her Santa hat and once the parade started she was dancing to the music (too bad it was too dark and my video didn't turn out!).

Fun was had by all!  And lots of candy came home with us to add to the piles the kids still have left from Halloween!  Perfect way to start of the holiday season!

Presents under the tree

Yesterday we got the house all ready for Christmas! The kids really enjoyed seeing the progress as the decorations went up, I think they were napping in past so this was the first time they got to see how it happens!  We decorated inside first, a little Thursday night, getting ready for Zert's arrival (our elf!).  Friday morning we finished the inside and waited for outside lights until nap time.  It went very quick and the lights we had for our old house worked out well for our new house.  

The year the boys were born, I loved putting their blanket in front of the tree for them to see the lights.  Today they were crawling under the tree saying they were presents.  I had to take a picture for comparison.

Happy 3rd Birthday Olivier and Mason!

It is amazing to look back over the past three years and see how much the kids have grown!  The year ahead will be filled with excitement (and exhaustion for us!) as new discoveries are made.  After their checkups at the end of the month I will add their stats (weight, height).  For now, here are the photos from their birthday party.  Thank you to all the family and friends who were able to join us for a great time!

 And on their actual birthday we headed to the aquarium!  It was a great busy day!  In the large tank, Olivier liked the hammer head sharks.  This photo turned out rather cool, you can see the relection of the shark's eye from the flash and Olivier and Anna's in the glass.
