Baptism for Olivier and Mason!

Today Olivier and Mason were baptized. Thank you to those of you who attended and were part of their special day. We appreciate all the love and prayers! (And a special thank you to April for all the great photos!!)

Olivier looking so grown up!

Mason isn't so sure about being grown up!

The boys being boys and not wanting to stay seated.
Mason being blessed.

The five of us listening to the reading from Father Kent Brown (he also baptized Anna!).

The water is being blessed.
Anna was also a bit restless.

Olivier was up first. He did very well and didn't seem to mind the water.
He did start to wiggle around a bit!
And wanted some love from Daddy after. No tears though.
Mason didn't want to lean down and Daddy and Ed had to hold his hands so he would let go of Mommy!

Ed and Daneya are the boys Godparents! Thank you!

Ryan wanted to join us at the end of the ceremony. Very nice to spend some time with him being that he is my Godchild! And after the ceremony Olivier was very concerned about Connor.
And here is a photo of us, Matt, Anna, Olivier, Tania, Mason, Daneya and Ed.
And Zachary, Daneya and Ed's new addition!

Anna being her silly self!
Once again, thank you to everyone for joining us in celebrating Olivier and Mason's baptism!

Monterey!

On December 8th and 9th I had a meeting in Monterey. One of the lucky times that it was close to home. On the 9th the meeting was going to end at noon and the hotel had a deal we couldn't pass up so Matt came up with the kids and we spent the weekend in Monterey. They had a blast, which means we are totally exhausted. It is all worth it though!

Day One - Aquarium: Anna, Mason and Olivier were very unsure about the "bubbles" into the water that they could sit in and see the fish.

Anna loved the touch tank. She learned how starfish eat and is going to share with her class at school!
The boys also had fun in the touch tank but we had to pull them away after a while, it isn't the bath tub, no splashing!
Saying hello to the penguins!

The hotel had a bridge that connected the two sides of the street together. Here are the kids looking out the windows.
And up close!
Day Two - Aquarium: We started off with a mobile touch tank which Olivier though would be fun to splash in as well!
A growing trend in our photos, you have to take them when they aren't looking if you want all three in one photo! :-) Olivier, Anna, and Mason are checking out the sea otters.
The giant octopus moving in front of Anna.
And here is a video of of the octopus moving by Anna.

Anna with the sea horse. Not sure why she has her hand raised!

Day Three - Dennis the Menace Park: We were told about a very cool park and checked it out as we headed out and the kids had a great time. Didn't get many photos because the camera battery was about to die but it gives you an idea.

Here are two of the crazy slides.
Olivier driving the boat.
Mason on the circle staircase.
Some of the play equipment. It was kind of crummy weather and that is probably why it wasn't busy. I am assuming this park is normally full because there is so much to do!
And I never got a photo of the train but they have a full size, real train engine there that the kids can play on/in. The boys didn't want to be bothered with a photo!

Two year old check ups!

On December 2nd the boys went for the 2 year old checkups. We had a good conversation with our pediatrician about everything going on with Olivier and Mason, which I won't bore you with. The information that we do want to bore you with is where they are growth wise!

Olivier
Weight - 28.4 pounds (50th percentile)
Height - 34.25 inches (35th percentile)
Head circumference - 48 cm (30th percentile)

Mason
Weight - 29.9 pounds (70th percentile)
Height - 35 inches (60th percentile)
Head circumference - 49.5 cm (70th percentile)

They got only one shot and did well. Olivier cried and wanted Mommy. Mason didn't cry at all but was happy to leave the doctor's office!

Parade!

Yesterday we went to a Christmas Parade! Anna wasn't real sure what a parade was and kept asking what we would be doing at the "party". We got there a bit early and they had snack while we waited.
Anna and Mason were more co-operative for photos.

They really liked this little truck. Just the right size for them!
And here is a trolley from my work. Yes, it is a bit off in the distance but when it got close I was busy and didn't get another photo!

Anna was excited when she heard this was from the ice cream shop!
And of course there was some beautiful horses!

Mason and Olivier liked the fire truck! And it was BIG!

Of course the man in red made his appearance at the end of the parade!
Over the course of the parade the kids got a few candy canes. We let them have one during the parade and we saved the rest for later. When we got home, Mason decided it was "later" and pulled a candy cane out of his pocket. We let him have it and this is what he looked like when he was done. He was a happy camper!

Dancer

We were talking to Anna about going to a parade and I pulled out the movie of me as a kid in the parade and we watched it, and a few more of me in dance recitals. Then I pulled out the outfit that I was wearing in the movie. Needless to say, they were hard to get her to take off!

Children and God Children!

Tonight we had a great visit with Daneya and Ed and their crew, Connor, Ryan and Zachary! It was so nice to spend time with them! Thank you for coming by during your busy Thanksgiving trip!
