Monterey!

On December 8th and 9th I had a meeting in Monterey. One of the lucky times that it was close to home. On the 9th the meeting was going to end at noon and the hotel had a deal we couldn't pass up so Matt came up with the kids and we spent the weekend in Monterey. They had a blast, which means we are totally exhausted. It is all worth it though!

Day One - Aquarium: Anna, Mason and Olivier were very unsure about the "bubbles" into the water that they could sit in and see the fish.

Anna loved the touch tank. She learned how starfish eat and is going to share with her class at school!
The boys also had fun in the touch tank but we had to pull them away after a while, it isn't the bath tub, no splashing!
Saying hello to the penguins!

The hotel had a bridge that connected the two sides of the street together. Here are the kids looking out the windows.
And up close!
Day Two - Aquarium: We started off with a mobile touch tank which Olivier though would be fun to splash in as well!
A growing trend in our photos, you have to take them when they aren't looking if you want all three in one photo! :-) Olivier, Anna, and Mason are checking out the sea otters.
The giant octopus moving in front of Anna.
And here is a video of of the octopus moving by Anna.

Anna with the sea horse. Not sure why she has her hand raised!

Day Three - Dennis the Menace Park: We were told about a very cool park and checked it out as we headed out and the kids had a great time. Didn't get many photos because the camera battery was about to die but it gives you an idea.

Here are two of the crazy slides.
Olivier driving the boat.
Mason on the circle staircase.
Some of the play equipment. It was kind of crummy weather and that is probably why it wasn't busy. I am assuming this park is normally full because there is so much to do!
And I never got a photo of the train but they have a full size, real train engine there that the kids can play on/in. The boys didn't want to be bothered with a photo!
