Father's day weekend

We had a busy Father's day weekend! Saturday was full of errand and getting everything done around the house and Sunday was all about relaxing! We had brunch with the Arnold and dinner with the Remillard. It was wonderful to see everyone in one weekend!

Here is a photo of all three!
And a photo of Natalie. She was trying to find the cats and they kept hiding as soon as she noticed they were out again. She sure had fun looking for them though!

Pony pictures!

Today the kids had pony pictures taken with Cupcake at daycare. Anna was serious and got the start of a smile. The boys on the other hand (especially Mason) were not so sure about the pony!

Fun Sunday!

Today we had a "surprise" diaper party for Michelle, David, and Natalie to celebrate the upcoming arrival another little girl! With everything going on, all I managed to get was three photos, shame on me! And one was of my own kid! Matt was being silly and got Olivier's hair wet and made it spike up, he looked very cute but for some reason, Anna was not happy about it!
And here is the better of the two pictures of all the kids drawing with chalk in the back yard. There was quite a bit of artwork! Amazing to get them all together!

Cradle

When I was a child, my grandparents gave their granddaughters cradles for Christmas. It has been passed around (and now is nice and white instead of brown stain) and now Anna loves putting her babies in it. The boys have a different idea of what it should be used for! Maybe a train?

May photos!

As promised, here are some photos from the last few weeks.

They love playing in the wagon and I got this photo just seconds before they all got up and rearranged their seats again.
Mason being naughty and not sitting on the chair, of course it doesn't help that I was trying to get a video of him talking and let him.

And they all decided to sit down on the bricks in front of the fire place. A rare all smiles photo! I love it!
The only photo I got from Lina's 4th birthday pool party! Anna testing the water temperature with Julie and Andy.

We went to the park and got some really good photos.
Here is one of Mason. We were happy that we got some happy photos of Mason because he was not a happy camper that morning! Love this grin!
Olivier was also very happy swinging (although it is not his preferred way!)
Matt even took a turn on the swings!
It was a very windy weekend which really made a mess out of Anna's hair!

Matt and Olivier enjoying a swing ride.
And this is Olivier's favorite way to swing, Super Man style!
And Olivier enjoying the sandbox!
Mason enjoying playing boo with Daddy!
Anna driving Mason to see the monkey's (or so she told me). Mason doesn't look so sure!

Here is the audio of Mason saying ma ma and da da. (Ignore the visual of the video, I was juggling a bit!)

And here is a video of Olivier giving love to Rufus. He also says a few words: up, Daddy, ba ba (his version of ma ma) and then he points to Anna when I asked him to say Anna.

18 month checkup

Today we took the boys to the doctor for their 18 month checkups. It went very well and the boys didn't cry too much (especially when they got their snack right after). Here is a quick update on what they are up to:

Olivier:
25 lbs, 4 oz (45th percentile)
33'" (70th percentile)
46.5 cm (15th percentile for head circumference)
He can say: boo, hi, da da, up, ba ba (for ma ma), eat
He understands almost everything we tell him, especially "what is in your mouth?" He hears that a lot and promptly comes over with his mouth open to show us. He is taking full advantage of asking to be picked up knowing that we can't turn him down, and to go down he also tells us that he wants up. He loves all the animals and blowing kisses to just about anything. The bigger mess that he can make, the better. He loves to swing Superman style (on his belly). He loves looking at picture books and hearing us talk about all the images.

Mason:
27 lbs, 2 oz (they didn't write down any of the percentiles for Mason!)
34"
49 cm (head circumference)
He can say: hi, ma ma, da da, boo (although he rarely just says one of them without being prompted and even when asked, we only get about two words a day; with lots of praise we hope he will be chatting away soon)
He also understands just about everything we tell him. He is much more reserved and tends to observe but he does get into his fair share of trouble as well. He is still very much a Mommy's boy. Mason is most likely going to be a lefty and he loves to use a fork to eat. He is full of sly smiles and loves to rock in rocking chairs. Over the weekend we were at a party and there were two horses on springs that rocked back and forth and he was constantly going between the two as though he was trying to figure out which one as better.

They both have mastered the straw cups and enjoy eating at the table with us. They know where their hair, ears, mouth, and nose are. They love making baskets in the basketball hoop that they have.

Pictures to follow soon, hopefully tomorrow!

Proud Mama!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MOMMY!!!

I have a lot to be thankful for this Mother's Day! I have an amazing family!

Anna is a learning like a human sponge and her newest accomplishment is counting to ten in English, Spanish and French! She is really wanting to read things and we hear the question "why?" what feels like 100 times a day! Anna is an amazing little girl who is very sweet and loving.

Mason is still a boy who loves his mama! He is very sweet and it can be really hard to get him to smile but when you do, it is such a sweet smile! He is the observer and is very quiet, except when it comes to meal time when he loves to yell! And today he said his very first word, "hi!" It is so sweet to hear!

Olivier is our wild child! He is the first to try something, he has no fear and it is amazing when we can go more than a couple of days without a big boo boo. He loves looking at picture books and "talks" to us a lot. As much as he goes off to explore, he always checks back in and loves to give hugs and kisses. He also started saying "hi" on Friday!

P.S. You can hear Mason say "hi" for the very first time in the background on the second part of this video! Matt was trying to record Olivier saying "hi" and found out that Mason would say it too!
