January 23rd

We took it easy this morning after a rough night (Anna was/is not feeling well) and headed off to the airport. Anna did very well on the plane. We got our luggage and drove home. It was a late night but it was nice to be home and hope that Anna is feeling better soon.

January 22nd

Today we wanted to take advantage of the beach as much as possible. We were there in the morning as well as the afternoon. Anna had a lot of fun with the water and sand, especially with her turtle. :-)

After dinner we tried to catch the sunset and missed it by just a few seconds. Bummer! We did get some cute photos of Anna. She has figured out how to stick out her tongue so we have quite a few photos of her showing that off. Silly girl!

January 21st

Happy Birthday Grandma Remillard! :-) We called to say happy birthday. I tried to get Anna to talk into the phone but she wanted to lick it for some reason! Goofy girl.

After Anna's morning nap we went back to the swap meet to get macadamia nuts for Grandma Arnold. After lunch, off to the beach we went! We got Anna an inflatable turtle because she does like the water so much and it was a great purchase all around, she loved to sit in it while we were in our room too.

We went to Hard Rock for dinner and had lots of fun!

January 20th

This morning we watched the inauguration of our new president at 7 a.m. (Hawaii time can be nice!). Shortly after we headed off for a road trip. We saw the east side first (which includes the Diamond Head lighthouse). We stopped at a beach for lunch but due to some rain we hung out in the back of the car for the most part.

We also stopped at a macadamia nut farm and at the Dole plantation (boy that place smells yummy and some very interesting information!).

Lots of driving but Anna seemed to manage it just fine until we hit a traffic jam, due to an accident, just a few miles from the hotel. We all survived though!

January 19th

Anna slept well last night and we were more than happy to get a little extra sleep! We got all slathered up in sunscreen and went to Hanauma Bay for most of the day (we were there from just after 9 a.m. until almost 2 p.m.). It was beautiful and we all had a great time.

When we left we decided to drive part of the island while Anna napped. We saw the entire south and west sides of the island and plan on seeing the east and north tomorrow!

January 18th

Anna woke up early again this morning but after a bottle and a diaper change she slept until 6:30 a.m. Yeah! We went to the swap meet at Aloha Stadium (bummer it isn't in the stadium!). We did lots of walking and Anna enjoyed the stroller ride and people watching.

After Anna's afternoon nap we went to the beach to wear her out for the day! :-)

Anna started giving kisses on her own today! :-) It is very cute, although it looks a bit like CPR! Her favorite book at home is the training book we got for CPR when we took a class before she was born so we think she was following what the book says. :-)

We stayed in after dinner, Anna was very sleepy!

Anna's CPR kiss is below... :-)

January 17th

Anna woke up early again this morning and we made it to the beach at 8 a.m. Anna and I played in the sand and water while Matt ran. We went back to our room for Anna's morning nap.

We walked to the art festival in the park by the Honolulu Zoo and saw all the exhibits and displays. After lunch and Anna's afternoon nap it was off to the beach again. It was a very nice day with only a light breeze. We also enjoyed a walk along the main drag in Waikiki. After dinner we went and got ice cream. Yum!
