This morning we watched the
inauguration of our new president at 7 a.m. (Hawaii time can be nice!). Shortly after we headed off for a road trip. We saw the east side first (which includes the Diamond Head lighthouse). We stopped at a beach for lunch but due to some rain we hung out in the back of the car for the most part.
We also stopped at a macadamia nut farm and at the Dole plantation (boy that place smells yummy and some very interesting information!).
Lots of driving but Anna seemed to manage it just fine until we hit a traffic jam, due to an accident, just a few miles from the hotel. We all survived though!
