Piñata Party!

Today we had a family gathering at the park to celebrate Mason and Olivier turning 9!  I am not sure who keeps allowing them to grow and get older but don't they know I miss my babies, but I will admit being able to help these two grow has been wonderful!  Each year bring a new adventure!

The weather has been cool overnight (high 30's) and warm around mid day (mid 70's) so the park was a great play to hang out!

The boys requested donuts again for their treat.  Mason asked for maple bars and Olivier asked for strawberry glaze with chocolate chips.  And they got frustrated because looking at me would have involved looking right into the sun.
After playing at the park and donuts it was piñata time!  Mason got it as a raffle prize at school and has been asking when we would use it.  Their birthday seemed like a good time but it is so close to Halloween we got stuff other than candy (not all of it made it through the bat and falling on the basketball court after, lesson learned!).  And a mom fail, I didn't manage to get any photos of Mason or Olivier swinging at the piñata.  Oops!  Mason decided to go first since he won it.  Olivier went second and managed to break part off.  We expected the contents to fall out but there was a center section that held everything.  Next up was Corbyn.
The group cheering her on!
Then Gus!
And Eli!
And Audrey!
And Anna!
And Lina for the big hit!
After the party we came home and the boys opened gifts from family.  It is nice to see them slow down when it is just us and read their cards and check out the gifts they were given.

It was a great day of celebrating on their pre birthday!
