Happy birthday Matt!

Today we celebrated Matt's birthday!  And we managed to eat dinner together and hang out!  Not an easy feat these days with everyones schedule but something we all enjoy!

Honor Band Concert!

On Wednesday night we got to enjoy the results of the hard work Anna and Olivier have put into band!  They auditioned back in January and had a couple of practices before this week.  And this week, they had a three hour practice Monday night, roughly six hours of practice Tuesday during the day, and another three hours of practice Wednesday morning!  They kept up on their school work and were exhausted Wednesday night after such a busy few day but we are thankful for their efforts because we got to listen to wonderful music!  

Cause a raucous!

This past week Mason was busy with tryouts for the high school volleyball team and he got the good news Thursday night at tryouts that he made the junior varsity team!  Very exciting!  And on his letter letting him know he made the team there were a couple reminders for him: "be loud" and "cause a raucous"!  If you know how quiet Mason is you know this will be a challenge but one we know he is up for!  Way to go Mason!

Rain this week and more coming next week!

This week we got about two inches of rain over a couple of day and it has been nice to see the hills starting to turn green!  This morning I went on a slightly different hike and the view of the other hills was stunning!

We escaped!

Today we had a fun afternoon activity - an escape room!  We got out with time to spare!  Wa hoo!

 

Happy 17th Birthday Anna!

Today we celebrated Anna's 17th birthday!  It is exciting to see how much she has grown and all that changes each year, but there is the part that also stays the same - such as her request for brownies for desert!  

Happy birthday Anna!  We love you and are proud of you! 
 

A hard goodbye to Beans and something to lift our spirits - noisy dog sleep!

We have been keeping busy this week but it seems like less than normal which has been a nice breather!  On Friday night shortly before we went to bed I got this video of Taz making funny nose as he was sleeping.  Wonder what he was dreaming about!  

This morning we said goodbye to Olivier's dwarf hamster Beans who joined us in early August 2022.  He had a really good life and Olivier was thankful to have such a great hamster!  We will miss you Beans and hope you are running pain free now!
