Monster Trucks

Tonight we took the kids to see a monster truck show.  It was a nice evening!

The trucks were on display before the show.  This one was very close to where we were sitting.

And yes, we all had ear protection!  It was loud!!
It is funny how they look smaller in the photos than they did in person.  It was weird to watch them climb in, basically from under the truck.

Doing more and more each lesson

This weekend Anna's hard work was showing.  They worked on form in the round pen and then moved on to the arena where she did pole work.  And the last pole went a bit higher each time...

Enjoy this video of her showing off how much she is learning!

Discovery Museum

Today we enjoyed an afternoon with no plans and took the kids to a local discovery museum. They had been before with camp but we had never seen it, so we all went to check it out!

They had this speed boat which the kids enjoyed and I got a giggle out of the boat name!
A fun silly slide!

It is a whale of a good time!
And they went to space!
And climbed the surface of Mars!
Firefighter Olivier to the rescue!
Then it was time to plow the fields.

Or put on a puppet show.
It was nice to have some time together!

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny came to visit us overnight!  The kids got pajamas, Cubs shirts, chocolate bunnies, and eggs with candy and money.  Matt and I got Cubs shirts too!  Matt got a bag of Snickers (his favorite!) and I got a Lego person dressed like a chicken!  Silly Easter Bunny!
Soon they went hunting for eggs hidden around the house!  Over 90!

Look at all those eggs!  A wide range of candy and fruity Cheerios!

Getting Ready for Easter!

This morning the kids decorated hard boiled eggs for Easter.

We suggested they leave them in the color longer so the color was darker but the excitement of the process makes it go quickly!  :-)

March For Our Lives

Today I took the kids to the March For Our Lives in our community.  It was a well organized event with some wonderful youth speakers from the various local high schools.  The kids made their own signs.
The view from our spot in the park were everyone gathered was beautiful.
And we saw Anna's best friend Lupe with her family as well.  We saw many of their teachers participating as well.
