Churches! Arc de Triomphe!

We all slept in a bit and had breakfast at our hotel, they have a lot of options!  We then took the metro to Sacre Coeur. We stopped for a light lunch and popsicles because again it is crazy hot. The hottest it has ever been here. Lucky us!  We then took the metro to Arc de Triomphe!  Very cool and much larger than I imagined. And surrounded by a crazy traffic circle. We found a very cool drinking fountain and refilled our water bottles and enjoyed the water. We then took the metro the Notre Dame!   It was stunning and the paintings are giant!  They are still working on the recovery after the fire and we are thankful we got to see it!  Back to the hotel to cool off for a bit before dinner! We found a small grocery type store right by the hotel - perfect to get some desert after dinner!

We opted to take the fenicular to the top but it was the hotest few minutes! Whew, a glass enclosure fully in the sun, but better than climbing the stairs in the crazy heat!

Made it to Paris!

We arrived! Getting through immigration went smooth and we were glad we had a driver who met us and took us to the hotel. We went out for a walk to a nearby garden but we all were melting. It was still over 100 at 3 pm. Most of the group got gelato on the way back to the hotel. We went to an Italian restaurant for dinner and went back to the hotel for showers and sleep. Both extremely needed!

This was at the San Francisco airport.  We had time to spare and saw the words on the hill.  Took a bit but we finally found what it used to say.

Final Volleyball Tournament

Mason and the Flight Academy Maverick 16 team had a great showing at the SoCal Cup Showcase. They won their first six games before ultimately falling in three sets in the gold bracket knockout stage. A 9th place finish out of 48 teams!

We escaped!

Today we escaped from an escape room!  It was a lot of fun and we always appreciate escaping too!  With time to spare!

Olivier's new haircut! S'mores!

Last Saturday Olivier got a haircut!

Today Anna got to ride a pony!  The horse she normally rides was showing issues with one of her feet and we want to make sure she stays healthy so they had Anna ride S'Mores!  It was a great ride!  

 

Anna's High School Graduation!

The day has arrived!  Anna's high school graduation!  I keep thinking the words will come to justify the event because proud, excited, thankful, happy, and many other just don't do the moment justice.  Thank you to everyone who stopped by and sent well wishes!  We had a gathering at the house for a bit before heading over for the ceremony!

Anna was actually the first student to enter the stadium!  It made it easy to find her as they were walking in!

And as we were leaving we found Lupe!  Lots of adventures await!
