Busy week!

This week I was at a conference in Monterey for a good portion of the week.  On Thursday there was a little rain but it made the one session room that was glass on three out of the four wall very magical.  And made all the other sessions on the other days that much harder because the basically didn't have any windows.  Boo!

One super fun bonus of the conference is an evening at the aquarium.  There were tables setup around the aquarium (for the most part, some exhibits were closed) and my coworker and I were so excited to find this one to have our dinner!
This is what it looked like over our heads!
And these Lion's Mane Sea Slugs were right behind me!
We walked around to see all the exhibit we could and the large tank had bubbles going which made it seem even more magical.

I enjoyed the wave exhibit!

And some fun photos I took around the aquarium!

The octopus were not thrilled with how many people were still in the aquarium!

On Saturday Anna got a riding lesson in and on a different horse!  She was on a horse name Peach!

We are keeping busy and the kids are looking forward to a week off!

Volleyball time!

Today Mason had a volleyball tournament in Seal Beach.  They did well and continue to grow as a team.  Mason got in some serves and this was a nice video that Matt got that includes a serve, a set and them getting a point!

Band Senior Night Photos!

We got the photos from Band Senior Night on October 10th.  Love you Anna!

Who let these two turn 16?

Somehow these two were allowed to turn 16 today!  Not sure how that has happened because I still remember all those days of chasing toddlers around but now they stand well above me!

Wishing you all the best!
And yes, I honestly feel like I a shrinking!

Melting...

This week the weather has kept us guessing, from a high of 66 degrees on Tuesday to a high of 90 degrees today.  Anna got a riding lesson in after missing most of October, and between being out of practice and the heat she was melting!  It was a great ride though, even with the heat!

Olivier also got back to his regular activity of jiu jitsu which he hasn't done in over a month!  Nice to get back to those activities!

And now we get ready for rain and cool temperatures coming in the week ahead...  This weather thing is a puzzle!

Last marching band events of the year!

Today is the last day of marching band activities, and started with a parade competition.  Olivier had a tough spot to be, front row center, but he did a great job!
Anna was happy to not have a tough spot this year but she couldn't hide!
Here they are!
After we met up with the kids and cheered on the drum line!
And we got a photo with our niece Audrey who is part of the varsity cheer team who joined the band for this event!
Us with our amazing senior!

The day wrapped up with a field show competition that our school hosted.  The freshman and seniors played the national anthem.
And I think they had their best performance!  Most likely because they aren't competing since they are hosting and the pressure was off, but it was nice to be able to see the last performance!

Ready for Halloween!

After two 93 degree days, it seemed like time to carve pumpkins...well sort of, just because it is getting dark so early! It is always fun to see their designs!

And now we hope they can hold on for two days (thankfully cooler) until Halloween night!
