Luna was pouting!

On Wednesday night I got this funny photo of Luna.  She really likes this pillow and it isn't a surprise to see her sitting on it, but this time instead of being able to see us, she was pouting and would not look at us.  I guess she is too good for us now?!?
Mason has three home games for volleyball this week.  Mason continues to be very consistent with his jump serve.
And his setting is helping his team immensely!
I will say it is a lot harder to get a photo of a great set, hit or block because they happen so quickly and you don't know when they will!

They have been struggling with the long rally and getting the point before the hit the wall.  Although this wasn't a super long rally, it was a bit longer and it was nice to see they got the point!
Anna continues to work hard at the barn on Saturday mornings!  This week I got some photos and love seeing her enjoy what she loves!

Hands off!

Today we all went to the Hands Off protest at our local courthouse.  We wanted to make sure that we are voicing our concerns with the current status of our country.  I was a bit surprised that I still had the signs Anna and I used for the protest back in January 2017 and very disappointed that we were needing to use them again.
We were joined by a dear friend!
There were so many signs that I liked!  This was just one of them!
And I got this photo with the Canada flag from another protester behind me.
Although it isn't something any of us want to do, we need to be loud and not settle!

Yellow Belt!

Tonight Olivier was awarded a yellow belt at jiu jitsu!  He has been working really hard and started attending an adult fundamentals class to work with adults as well as going to the regular class on Saturdays.  His instructor has noticed his hard word and growth.  Way to go Olivier!  Very proud of you and the hard work you are putting in!

Cotton needs a pillow!

Last Sunday Cotton joined us on the couch after dinner and did something a little different.  Instead of sleeping upside down or smashed up against us, he decided his head needed a pillow.  Silly cat!

On Sunday and on Wednesday Anna was able to shadow at a local veterinary clinic!  It was really great for her to see what it is like in that environment, including being able to see a couple of surgeries!  Very cool and great background for her!

On Tuesday Mason had an away game for volleyball and Thursday he had a home game.  He has a good jump!
And on Saturday it was a busy day for activities!  Anna had a horse lesson, Olivier had a jiu jitsu tournament and Mason had another volleyball tournament!  Busy day!

Olivier did well at the tournament at the studio and went one and one.  Here is a video of the round he won!

It is hard to learn how to apply all the things they have learned to rounds like this and we are proud of him for competing!

The volleyball tournament went well and the team continues to grow.  It hasn't been an easy season but I think they are getting stronger as the season goes on.  It will be interesting to see how the club team goes after school teams wrap up because he will be playing with players he is currently playing against!  Here are a few action shots!

Back to school tomorrow after a fairly quite spring break.  Hard to believe we are counting down to the end of the school year!

Volleyball and heading into spring break!

On Wednesday Mason had another volleyball game and they got another win!  They still have a lot of work to go as a team but it is nice to see they are focused on getting better.
On Saturday there was a junior varsity tournament and it started with a game against his cousin Eli's team.  They lost that game but really pushed in the second set.  The next game was close and they held it together and pulled off the win in the third set.  The third game was another hard one and they lost but kept it tight.  After those games the teams got placed in brackets and they had single set eliminations.  They won the first elimination!  And then they won the second elimination!

Then they had their final set and it was against Eli's team again!  They got a lead and managed to keep it and close and came away with a win!  Wa hoo!  It was an exciting and exhausting day!  And here are the cousins!
Here are a couple videos of the action!

The kids are now on spring break and they are looking forward to a break from school!  And more sleep!

Happy Birthday!

Last weekend we celebrated my dad's upcoming birthday.  With everyone's schedule we weren't sure it would work out but we were all able to gather and it was really nice to spend time together!  Happy birthday Dad!

And on Wednesday of this week Mason played another school volleyball game and it was exciting to see the team improving and they were able to win!  The varsity team wasn't able to finish their game because it started raining, and there was water coming into the gym!  One of my aunts was able to join me which was an extra treat!

No photos, but Olivier was part of a band event on Friday and Anna is at one today!  Busy house but it is keeping us from being bored!

First High School Volleyball Game!

Today Mason had his first high school volleyball game as part of the Junior Varsity team.  He played really well and worked on his jump serve!
Although the team struggled, Mason was helpful with keeping his team in the game.
Way to go Mason!
