Merry Christmas!

Santa came!  Gifts and lot and lots of goodies for those stockings!

We celebrated Christmas morning at home and after lunch we went to the Arnold's to celebrate and eat dinner.  The kids have grown a lot over the years!
It was a wonderful holiday and we are all ready for some sleep!

Holiday Band Concert!

The kids had their holiday band concert today and we really enjoyed hearing the hard work of the bands!  No videos and no up close photos but a mind full of wonderful memories!

Another stripe!

Today Olivier got another stripe on his grey belt at jiu jitsu!  He has been working hard, including try to show the newer students how to do some of the moves.  Keep up the hard work Olivier!
Otherwise this week has been fairly quiet.  Lots of colds going around the school in addition to COVID starting to tick up a bit.  Each of the kids have now had a yucky head cold but thankfully in the overall picture, it hasn't been too horrible, and thankfully not RSV.

Next week they have just three days of school before winter break.  And on Monday all three kids will be playing their instruments at the holiday concert at the performing arts center.  We are looking forward to it!

Very rainy weekend!

This week was fairly normal with the regular activities.  This weekend we had a big rain system come through with a lot of wind with it.  That cancelled Anna's riding lesson again (boo!) but we are thankful for the rain.  The power went out for very short periods of time but we thankfully didn't really have anything significant happen.

On Saturday night, Anna and I braved the elements and went to see her friend Lupe dance in the Nutcracker!  It was really fun!  We noticed things this year that we either didn't notice last year or they had changed up from last year.  Lupe was a gingersnap this year!

The kids are getting excited for the winter break that is quickly approaching!

Rain!

This week we got much needed rain!  Although we still need much more, it is nice to get whatever we can!

For part of the week I was in San Diego for work and saw a hockey game with some of the other people attending the work related event.  It was a lot of fun, although the San Diego Gulls were struggling.  At least they had an amazing goalie!
Friday night the holiday parade still happened and Anna got to march!  She is at the end of the second row and is lit up with lights.  And yes, there is a trash bag around most of the instruments to try and keep them dry with the constant drizzle that was coming down.

Yesterday afternoon Luna, who isn't normally a lap cat, decided she wanted to be a lap cat.  Or at least for a few minutes.  Had to document the surprise!
