Love moments like this

Mason is reading to Olivier. Makes my heart happy! And they are both wearing their "I ❤️ my brother" shirts!

Rodeo time!

This year Cal Poly was moving the rodeo from the normal arena into the football stadium.  We had never been to one and the change of venue seemed like a good excuse to go and check it out.

We parked at Matt's work so we had to take a photo with the cow!  And yes, we went and visited with the real cows too.  One of them licked Anna's hand.
Then we settled into our seats.  Thankfully we got there a bit early because it really did fill up.  They said there was about 10,000 people who attended.
Here is a view of the arena.  The sun was a bit of an issue but we all lived.  :-)
I couldn't tell you what all of the events are called but this is what started everything off.
The barrel racing was great to watch!  (Anna's favorite and I have to agree!)
And finished with some bull riding.

Much to our surprise after the final rodeo event they brought in what looked like a jump ramp and a landing area.  Sure enough, they were, and the boys (especially Olivier) were thrilled!

It was a fun night!  And now we have all been to a rodeo (and not just a bus roadeo!)

Why of course I have a beard!

The boys have been pretending they have beards with the soap while they are taking showers.  For some reason tonight they were really getting a kick out of it and wanted to see what they looked like with beards so they took each others pictures.

Two silly boys!

Eli's birthday

Okay, I am a bad aunt.  We enjoyed celebrating Eli's birthday but I never got a photo of the birthday boy!  Maybe it was because the boys were hiding out or maybe it was because they didn't seem to stay in one spot very long but whatever the reason I was bummed when I realized I never got a photo.  I did get a photo of Corbyn and Anna playing on the trampoline.  Silly girls!
 Happy birthday Eli!

A little guitar

Anna took a guitar class after school (once a week for a few weeks).  They had a small "performance" at the end.
They were very excited to show us how to play the cord A11.
Can you name that tune?
Not a rock star but they had fun!

Anna's birthday gift!

Last year Anna got a birthday treat from her Grandma Linda to go on a trail ride.  This year she got to go with Michelle and Natalie.  We had to wait a bit to go because it has been raining so much.
Anna was super excited that Natalie was riding Utah, who she rode last year.  Anna was riding Freckles.
 Michelle was on Johnny Cash.
It was beautiful to see the green hills!  We saw some road runners, deer and squirrels.

You can even see the water in Laguna Lake!

More photos to come!

Horseback riding lessons

Anna has started horseback riding lessons.  At this point she is trying it out and we will see where it goes.  She has had three lessons and still enjoying it, which is a plus!  The horse she is learning on is called Matt and she is learning English style with an instructor who specializes in jumping.  These are some of the photos from the three lessons she has had.  She is still a horse crazy girl!
