100th day of school!

Today was the 100th day of school!  The boys went on a walk around school with maracas, necklaces, masks, crowns and singing a song (in English and Spanish).  It is great to hear them sing in both languages.  I loved this photo of Mason who was very proud of himself!

More celebrating!

Today we gathered with family to celebrate Anna's 8th birthday.  Before I get into that I thought I would share the answer to the silly questions I have been asking all the kids on their birthday.  The current year answers are first, then 2015, 2014, and 2013 answers.

Favorite Color:  Pink (pink, pink, pink)
Favorite Book:  Rainbow Magic (Rainbow Magic, Rainbow Fairy, The Cat in the Hat)
Favorite Gift:  doll scooter (Roller skates, Wallet, Pop Charm Bracelets) - I will have to ask this now that she has gotten the rest of her gifts though!
What do you want to be when you grow up:  Horse Rider (Horse Rider, Librarian, Librarian)
Friends:  Lupe from school (Lina her cousin, Sydney from Cal Poly, Sydney and Brooklyn from school)
Favorite thing to do:  Read (Read, Read books, Play on the structure at school)
Favorite thing to do at school:  Science (Write, Play on the structure, Write in straight lines)
Favorite food:  Macaroni and Cheese (Peanut butter and jelly, Macaroni, Yogurt)
Favorite place to go:  School (Beach, Library, The secret forest - a place they trek to at school)
How old will you be when you grow up:  20 (53, 34 - Same age as Mom, 16)
How old will you be when you get married:  30 (20, 20, 17 - and she said she would marry Mason)
How old will you be when you have a baby:  35 (25, 40, she said she didn't know if she would have a baby)
She is 50" inches tall (I am rounding up just a tiny bit, 50" sounds much more impressive!).  She did a lot of growing this year but is still our tiny, sweet, happy girl!

Now for the celebration!  Anna wanted donut for the party today so we had donuts!  She loves powdered sugar donuts.
And I got some with strawberry glaze and chocolate chips.
The house was pink with horses!
 These two greeted our guests.
 One happy girl!
They played pin the tail on the pony.  Anna went first and did really well.  It is hard being the first one but she had checked it out before hand so she had an idea of what to feel for.
She wanted to help other too!  Audrey had done really well at the boys birthday and well again this time!

There was a collection of boys playing Mario Cart.  It was a great activity for the rainy day.  I love Corbyn watching in the background sitting in the rocking chair Anna got on her first birthday!
 Anna!
 On to presents.
They were constantly moving around trying to get a better view.
She got lots of clothes (yippee!!), a pet mouse (not real!), a purse with accessories, lots of supplies for making friendship bracelets, and will be going horse back riding with grandma Linda!

Too much fun, wait...that can't happen when it is your birthday!

Today is Anna's 8th birthday!  Me oh my, was it a busy day for all three kids!  Anna went on a field trip and tonight a friend from school is spending the night for the first time!  Talk about exciting!  And I have a feeling there will be a lot of talking going on tonight!

After coming home from school Anna opened her gifts.  The boys didn't know what she was getting so I am not sure who was the most anxious to have the packages opened, her or them!
The "big box" had them all very excited.  It is a scooter for her dolls.

Then she got a wooden horseshoe with nails to hang her necklaces!  We made it match the letters from her name that already are hanging in her room.
Then she opened her neon pink rain jacket.  Can you guess what her favorite color is?
Yippee!  A rain jacket that fits!
There was one more gift hidden outside!
She got a new bike!  No more hitting the handle bars with her knees!  And yes, more pink!
They all went for a quick ride on our street.
Then it was off to the park for a few laps to break in her new tires.   And I think she wanted to see how well the streamers work!
Mason was happy to go around.
Olivier can't go fast enough.  It sure is fast enough for his mama though!
 Anna is all business!
A cool photo of the fog on our way back home!
She asked for chocolate chip cookies with chocolate frosting and pink sprinkles for desert tonight.  The kids did not argue!
Enjoy our sweet Anna!  Enjoy!

Kinder Weather Day!

Today was the kinder weather day!  They did chalk art, made wind socks, played with gak, and most importantly, snow!  Olivier had fun drawing with the chalk.
And here he is as he is getting ready to go down on the sled.
Here is Mason getting ready for his turn to do down the hill!
It was a great day and we have two very tired, and very happy, boys!

Swim baby swim

The kids have kicked off the new year back in the pool.  Anna and Mason are in one class and Olivier is in a different class.  Lucky Olivier though, he is the only one in his class so he is getting extra instruction.  Here is Anna and Mason working on their backstroke.  Anna has gone a bit sideways!  :-)
Olivier working with his coach on his backstroke.
Anna is trying out a knee dive.  This is a big step for her.
And Mason is giving it a go too!
They really have enjoyed swimming and it is nice to see them enjoy something so much!

Happy New Years Day!

The kids enjoyed watching the Rose parade this morning.  And they were happy that they got to see the Cal Poly float too!
After everyone was ready to go, and it got a bit warmer outside, we went for a hike up "our" hill!  And Rufus was happy to join us!
And I love this group shot of us at the top before we started our way down.
There is one spot in particular that the kids love to have their picture taken, and we often take their photo on the way up and down.  Today was no exception.  Here is the photo of the kids on "Boldie" on the way down.
What a great way to start 2016!
