Fun morning at the park

This morning we enjoyed the park.  Anna was happy that her flat tire was fixed so she could ride her bike over.  The boys were excited to test out how their rockets would work out of the house.  

I love this big smile on Mason!  

 And the boys were flying their planes to each other.

And Olivier had fun with his stomp rocket!  

5th Birthday Party Fun!

Today we celebrated Olivier and Mason's 5th birthday at a local children's museum.  It was a great venue and the kids loved having the run of the place.

 Olivier and Henry had a great time on the motorcycle!  I think Olivier has a need for speed but this is the kind of speed I can handle.  The imaginary kind!  :-)

 Natalie and Anna enjoyed the swing but didn't stay long; the sun kept blinding them.

 This exhibit was a huge hit, it is kinetic sand with a special projector that shows depth.  It was very cool!

 Then it was time for cupcakes!  Some blue for Mason, some green for Olivier.  And all of them with licorice on top!

Now everyone is enjoying a well needed nap!  :-)

Anna's Award!

Today Anna got an award at school for being an independent learner.  She has done a great job really taking on the challenge of learning Spanish and continues to amaze us.  Well done Anna!

Halloween!

Last weekend Matt carved pumpkins with the kids.  

 They loved pulling out the pumpkin guts!  Can you tell?  (Although Mason had the sun in his face.)

 He stil was having a great time!

And we didn't let the rain dampen our Halloween!  The kids put on their costumes, plus their rain coats.  :-)  We got soaked but thankfully it wasn't all that chilly and we weren't out all that long.

 This year Mason was "Blue Bear" - his blue and white panda bear that he got from one of our prior trips to San Diego.  He was thrilled!

 And Olivier was a bat.  He went along with Anna who was a witch.  I never did get a photo of her though!  Crazy rush to get out the door with the rain and I missed it!

Swimming

The kids have wrapped up swim lessons that they were taking this fall.  It has been amazing to watch them progress this year.  And Anna finally figured out how to jump into the pool (she would normally fall in).  Here is a clip of Olivier, Anna and Mason jumping into the pool and swimming a few strokes to their instructor.  

Football Game!

Tonight we took the kids to a Cal Poly football game.  It was the boys first game and Anna's second. They were very excited!  It was extra special because we went with Grandma and Grandpa, along with Grandma's sister Lili-Anne and her husband Danny.  Danny used to play for Montana who happened to be playing against Cal Poly!  When we asked the kids who they would be cheering for Anna and Olivier said Cal Poly but Mason said he would cheer for the winning team.  Good news for him, that was Cal Poly!  Yeah!  Final score was 41 for Cal Poly, 21 for Montana.
