Anna's 5th Birthday!

The celebrations started on Sunday when we had a gymnastics party for Anna!  She loves gymnastics and it is a great way to celebrate with all our family and friends!

The kids started by using the parachute, always a hit!
Julie and Lina were enjoying using the rings to hang.
And the rest of the crew had fun making popcorn on the parachute.
 And sliding to the middle!
 A giant pile of kiddos!
Then it was off to the big part of the gym.  Some of the kids started out on the big trampolines.  Julie was looking so grown up!
Eli took a wild jump into the pit!  They love the pit!
And Anna had fun doing some silly moves on the big trampoline!
And jumping off the tumble trak into the pit!
Great photo of Miss Sadie.  So sweet!
Camille made her jump into the pit!
 And here comes Gwen!
And a portion of the party group.  Looks like Olivier, Mason, Eli, Natalie, Rhys, Sadie and Simone are missing.  We had a big group!
And time to enjoy the pit!  Lots of fun!
And the part that Anna was very excited for, cake!
And a sweet photo of Daddy kissing Anna as she blew out her candle!

After the party is was home to open gifts.  She loved all of them and I think she played with, read, or used all of them by the end of the day!  And can't wait to wear all of the new, and very cute, clothes!
She especially loved her gift from Heather, just like what Belle (from Beauty and the Beast) has.  And it is beautiful!
And birthday morning she was very happy to have more clothes from mom and dad, which included a new pink sweater.  Can you tell she was excited and silly?
After school she was able to open the last of her gifts.
The boys were very interested in all the gifts.  Olivier kept saying that he thought there would be cars in package.  Needless to say he was a bit disappointed!
After dinner she got her own special cake!
 Make a wish...

And I asked her a few questions so we could keep track of her interests as she gets older:

Favorite Color:  pink
Favorite Book:  The Cat in the Hat
Favorite Gift:  Pop Charm Braclets
What do you want to be when you grow up:  Librarian
Friends:  Sydney and Brooklyn (from school)
Favorite thing to do:  play on the structure at school
Favorite thing to do at school:  write in straight lines
Favorite food:  yogurt
Favorite place to go:  the secret forest (a place they trek to at school)
How old will you be when you grow up:  16
How old will you be when you get married:  17 (and she said she would marry Mason)
How old will you be when you have a baby:  she said she didn't know if she would have a baby

She is 42" tall and weights 35 lbs.  Her five year checkup will be in March so more to come on that at that time.

Thank you for the birthday wishes that we forwarded to her.  She is very proud to say she is now five years old!  And we are very proud of her!  Love you Anna!

Happy 5th Birthday Anna!

Can't believe Anna is five today! Yeah!

Olivier is cool!

Tonight Olivier went over to Merlin (one of our cats) and was petting him and told him that he was pretty.

I then asked Olivier if he was pretty.

He then told me, "no, I am not pretty.  I am cool."

And after his bath I called him Mr. Olivier James Arnold and he said he was going to grow up and be a Mr.  Apparently he isn't there yet!

Such a "cool" little man!

Fun day with Daddy!

Today school was closed so the kids spent the day with Dad!  They went to a local museum and really enjoyed themselves.  It was fun to hear them talking about what they did and what they saw, and even better, they got in for free!  We will be visiting again soon!
They put on a puppet show.  Now to work on hiding and just showing the puppets!  :-)
Mason being silly with some puppets!
 Lots to see!
 And lots to explore!
We are spoiled living in such a beautiful area!

Sick Mason

Mason was running a fever (and thankfully nothing else came from it) but Anna and Olivier were feeling left out wanting a blanket and pillow.  They didn't want to just hang out for long though!

More ice skating photos!

Here are a bunch of photos from our ice skating adventure.  There was a whole bunch of us that went, and this photo doesn't even show all of us!
Rhys watched from the safety of her stroller while Michelle, Natalie and Mason waited for our turn to skate.  Can you tell, Mason wasn't too excited!
My uncle Luc, cousins Rachel and Sean, aunt Diane and Uncle Louie.
Our crew plus Grandpa.  Mason's excitement keeps dropping... and these are the only photos that I have of him while we were there.  :-(
Me and Anna on the ice.
 Luc and Louie.
 Grandpa and Olivier.
Diane, my cousin Mike, and Louie
 Rachel.
 Anna with Daddy.
Michelle, Natalie and David.  Natalie did a great job!
Daddy trying to save his back while helping Anna!
 David and Michelle.
 Me and my Dad.
 Grandpa and Olivier.
I think with some practice (and maybe some roller skates) the kids would enjoy this.  And maybe a few less people on the ice.  Still, it was a great exprience and I hope the rink comes back next year!  Thank you Michelle!

Ice skating!

We had the opportunity to ice skate at a seasonal rink that came into town this year!  A rare treat!  My sister in law won a golden ticket and offered to bring us all along!  Thank you!

Anna was terrified of falling down although she did fairly well.  She was unstable but was starting to get the hang of it a bit before giving up ("get these things off my feet!" may be how she worded it).

Olivier wasn't all that stable and not to willing to try and skate but didn't mind being wobbly and went around the most out of the three kids.

More photos to come, and hopefully one of Mason (who was not about to go back on the ice once he got off!).  :-)
