What the kids have been up to!

Here are some of the things that the kids have been up to lately. The boys are close to crawling, Mason is "kind of" crawling, pushing with his toes and inching forward. Olivier has been trying so hard for so long and keeps going backwards and around in circles but still is working on going forward. Anna is thrilled that the boys are talking but she won't tell us what they are saying!

Olivier talking after eating dinner one night.

Mason having fun splashing in the bath. Notice he looks back and starts to smile before smiling again.

Anna trying to play Pat A Cake with Mason. He was more interested in talking though. Very different that how Olivier talks.

We gave the boys bath's in the big tub for the first time this week, they both loved being able to lay down and kick there legs to splash even more. Thankfully it is easier to handle in the tub and not having to dry the majority of the kitchen.

Olivier went first:

Mason went second:

Two and a Half!

Anna is 2 and a half today! It is amazing to think about and we continue to be amazed by all that she has become! She loves her new princess crown and earrings (yes her ears are pierced but don't worry, they are clip ons). She has a creative imagination and one of her favorite things to do continues to be reading books. Anna is talker and is excited about our upcoming trip to San Diego. She has been pretending she is a cat lately, or she will tell us her name is Frank. If she is focused she can spell her own name and can recognize some letters.

Happy 2 and a half Anna!

8 months old! Wow!

Today Olivier and Mason are eight months old! They love their solids and have started rolling around to get to something they want. They are quick at grabbing something they want! Olivier still has no teeth, Mason still only has two. They are talking more and have their own type of babble. Mason is usually much louder! They love playing patty cake and jumping in the doorway jumper. It is amazing watching them grow!

Olivier and Mason:

Olivier and his stare!
Mason showing off his two teeth!
Of course Anna wanted part of the action! She will be two and a half at the end of the month! Wow! Where does time go?

Here is Anna showing off her new discovery. She's realized that she can do a taco tongue! I don't remember how old I was when I figured that out but I know it was a lot older than two and a half!

Here are the boys on the 4th! Mason is all smiles, Olivier isn't quite so sure!

Look at those big boys!

Happy Olivier - such a silly boy!

Mason talks, and talks, and talks... (Anna tackled Matt about half way through, so no, we didn't have an earthquake!)

Mason giggles - such a great sound!

Mason eats bread (and yes, he will eat it and take more if you give it to him but he will always react this way!).

Anna dancing to a musical Father's day card that Matt got. It was so cute to see.

Getting so big!

It is amazing to see how quickly the kids are growing! Over Father's day weekend we saw Audrey, Lina and Eli. Audrey is nine days younger than the boys and April got them posed in a baby train. Anna's hair may finally be growing! Yes, she is almost two and a half, we have yet to cut her hair, and it is just now long enough to get it into pig tails! They are super cute on her!
Olivier has a surprised look, and Mason is so excited in the background!
Silly Mason!
On Friday, I got a batch of hand me down girl clothes from someone at work. As soon as Anna saw this dress, she had to wear it. With the dress and the pig tails, I just had to get a photo!
Tonight we decided to try giving the boys a bath in the sink for the first time. They are getting too big for the toddler tub and the regular bath tub seems a bit too big still. Anna loved getting baths in the sink at this age and the boys also seemed to like it. They haven't quite figured out how to splash in the sink like they did in the tub, but I have a feeling it will only take them one or two baths.
Mason is trying to figure out what is going on! He is always trying to bite things though and the divide between the two sides of the sink seemed like a good thing to chew apparently. :-)
We found something that the boys really don't like, spaghetti. They ate some but at the end more was coming out than going into their mouths. It is the first meal that they did not want. We will try it again and see how it goes.

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

The hat says it all:
Daddy, I love you
For all that you do.
I'll kiss you and hug you
'Cause you love me, too.
You feed me and need me
To teach you to play,
So smile 'cause I love you
On this Father's Day.
With love from Olivier, Anna and Mason!

Anna showing off her pigtails, such a Daddy's girl!
The boys showing they are ready to work! Olivier says just give me a hammer! :-)

Wishing all Dads a happy Father's day. Sending prayers to all those who dream of becoming a dad and to those who's dad is no longer physically here with us!

7 Months Old!

Olivier and Mason are now seven months old. Olivier has just about caught up to Mason with sitting on his own. It didn't take long before just a few seconds of sitting became several minutes. But when he crashes...boy does he go down hard!

Both boys are close to 18 pounds and between 26 and 27 inches long. It's tough to tell when they wiggle so much!

Olivier loves to smile and watch his big sister, Anna. We usually use Anna's help when picture time rolls around. She's always able to get him to laugh.

Mason just smiles and laughs when he sees his Mommy or his Dad. It doesn't take more than walking into a room to get him excited.

Mason's new thing is reaching out to grab the spoon while eating. He wants his food and he wants it fast! Olivier is just interested in the camera and almost misses his mouth.

They are eating rice and oatmeal cereals, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, yams, butternut squash, green beans, avocado, banana, apple sauce, pears, blueberries, chicken and cheese.

This weekend we discovered that the boys need to wear the socks that Anna is currently wearing! Anna's feet have started growing a little more but it won't be long before the boys' feet are bigger than Anna's. Anna is our little girly girl with tiny feet. Just like Cinderella.

We've noticed that Anna is getting quite a bit taller. She no longer needs her stool to grab things off of shelves and counters that were once safe places to hide things.

Mostly Mason!

Mason is sitting on his own now and he is very happy to have a new perspective. He also seems to be very proud of himself. It is very cute to see!

Olivier (who is able to sit for shorter periods of time and still rather wobbly) and Anna joined Mason for a while this afternoon. Anna and Mason were having fun making faces at each other.

And here are a few clips from the two minute video Matt got of Mason sitting up this morning. We chose clips to cut out the blank stare time. When he has a toy in front of him he can go for fifteen or twenty minutes before falling over. There are some great faces that he makes in this video, and as you can hear, he is rather chatty.
