Five Months Old

Anna is five months old today! She weights about 14 pounds and is around 25 inches tall. She is rolling over like crazy and is starting to get the hang of sitting and will probably be sitting on her own soon. She has a new horrible screeching sound that she makes that drives us crazy. :-) It has been hectic going back to work but we are getting into a routine.

Look forward to seeing more family next week for the holiday weekend!

Don't melt

It has been extremely hot here (113 degrees on Friday at our house, 110 today) so we have been trying to keep Anna as cool and comfortable as we can. With the washcloth on her head it looks like she has green hair! It is days like this when we wish we had air conditioning but thankfully they are extremely rare (112 degrees was the previous all time record for our city, back in 1929). We are hopeful that it will cool down some tomorrow, down to the 90's maybe!

Daddy and Mommy went on a walk with Anna since it is such a nice day. She enjoyed getting some fresh air and bouncing up and down in as Daddy walks. She kicks her legs like she is walking too!

Anna is starting to enjoy her Exer-Saucer. She loves to stand so it is fun to see her stand and check out the toys around her. And of course it gives her new things to slobber all over! :-)

Anna also went for her four month checkup this week. She weights 12 lbs, 12 ozs, and is 24 1/4 inches tall. She is in the 40% for weight and 70% for height. No solids for a couple of months still, just breast milk. I am surviving being back at work (6/2/08) but the hours and days do seem a lot longer!

Anna is four months old today! We are loving every minute!
