Park for lunch on the way home!

On our way home we stopped at a park for lunch.  I got these two cute photos.  I think they are done with me taking their photos though!  :-)

Last day in the parks!

Today we started with California Adventure again to try and get in another time on Radiator Springs. The fast pass time was at noon which was great and the line was short so we got in line after getting the fast passes and after less than 30 minutes we got to ride.  We got a photo of us just before we crossed the finish line.  We won!  Since our luck seemed a bit better we went over to Monsters Inc and got on that ride which the kids enjoyed.  We reviewed the list of rides and Mason mentioned he really wanted to go on the water ride.  Matt went with him while I waited with Anna and Olivier. This gives you an idea of what the final drop is like.  They have a small viewing area to the left where Olivier had fun standing and getting wet while we waited.
Here is a video of Matt and Mason at the end of the ride.
 The scenery was really beautiful.
And this is what it looks like when the groups go down.
We took advantage of the park hopping and went over to Disneyland for Peter Pan's flight.  Then went back to California Adventure for the Radiator Springs ride and lunch in Cars Land.  They wanted their picture with the statue of Stanley.
After a busy morning we took the bus back to the hotel and we all took a nap.  After naps we went to Downtown Disney for dinner.  We headed into Disneyland for the rest of the night.  We went on the Snow White ride, Mr. Toad's wild ride, then the carousel.  It was nice to see the carousel light up as it was just starting to get a bit darker out.

 Then we rode on Dumbo.
This gives you an idea of how it was getting dark out.

The last ride we went on was the circus train.  We were in the cage called "wild animals".

We got off the train and thankfully we were able to find a spot to see the parade.  It was a bit flustering but thankfully Matt got us to where we needed to be.  I took a bunch of short videos because the camera battery was low and I was worried it wouldn't save!
Here is the one photo I took that also gives an idea of how everything was lit up.

After the parade we followed the masses of people to the front of Cinderella's castle to watch the fireworks show.  Sorry no photos or videos of that.  It was a great show.  They also used search lights and it made it look like you were in a dome.  Very impressive.  All set around the Disney movies.

In total for the day we walked about 9 miles.  Yes, the kids walked it all and never really complained. We were all super tired and it was a great way to finish out the trip!

A little of both!

We started our day in California Adventure, getting fast passes for Radiator Springs again for around 1 p.m.  We enjoyed the short line for Toy Story Midway Mania.  Then we went on some of the rides that we didn't get to yesterday.  Anna, Mason and Matt went on the swings.
I was having fun watching Matt be silly on his way around.
Next up was the jumping jelly fish.  Olivier was going to join us but at the last minute he had to go to the bathroom...

We went on a flying spaceship ride (all of us), then Mason and I went on Goofy's sky school.  The line for that was oddly quicker than the jumping jellyfish which Olivier decided to try.  He enjoyed it after all!  Yippee!
We did a few more things in California Adventure (Ariel's ride, the Bugs Life ride that we couldn't ride yesterday, and a very jerky lady bug boogie).  We had lunch in Cars Land, stopped for some much needed caffeine, tried to go on the Monsters Inc ride but that one was closed so we went on Mater's tractor ride.  After all that it was our fast pass time so we went to Radiator Springs, bummer is the ride broke down when we were two cars away from riding.  The kids were bummed but handled it well.  We then headed to Disneyland and got fast passes for the Buzz Lightyear ride and went to "their favorite ride" (although it seems to change by the minute), It's a Small World.  I think this is the night I had the song stuck in my head all night long...

Here are the two bigger goofs passing the time while we waited for caffeine (for us not them!)!
And this is from when we waited hoping they would be able to fix Radiator Springs.
After heading back to ride the Buzz ride, we convinced Olivier that the Storybook Boat Ride would not be scary, and sure enough it wasn't!  Can you see how scared he is?
They have a bunch of miniature castles from the various stories.

After that we headed to Downtown Disney because the kids had narrowed down what they wanted as a souvenir.  They made Disney bears at the build a bear workshop.  Olivier made a stormtrooper bear.
Anna made an Anna bear (from the movie Frozen).
And Mason made a bear he named Ocean (he is designed from the movie Finding Dory which comes out on Friday 6/17/16).
All the bears and kids slept well!

California Adventure Here We Come

Today we were in California Adventure for most of the day.  We rode the bus over to the park again and once we were in the park we got our fast passes for Radiator Springs Racers.  Then it was off to Mater's Junkyard Jamboree.
Lots of going round and round which the kids enjoyed.  They giggled a bit at Mater's Spanish when they tell the riders the safety rules.  :-)
Then we went to Luigi's Rollickin Roadsters.  Can you tell Olivier is happy?
You can't really see Anna and Olivier in the car!
We got to see Mater leave the photo spot.
Then we took the kids for their photo with Lightning.  Olivier would not really stand any closer.  And when Lightning revved his engine Olivier really wouldn't get close!
It took some convincing to get him to touch Mater.  Still would not stand closer.
 Cars Land!
 A family photo!!
 Being silly!
Next we went on King Triton's Carousel.

Anna and Mason went with me on the ferris wheel.  We didn't go on a swinging one, which after we got on I realized was a very good thing!  The height seemed to be enough for the kids, let alone extra swinging and sliding.
We took a break for lunch then we went on Toy Story Midway Mania.  They really liked this ride, especially the 3D glasses.
And for some reason, when we were in line Mason asked me to take his picture with the post, so I did!
Our timing worked out well after Toy Story because it was time to ride the Radiator Springs Racers. We were happy that we had fast passes because at this point we would have been waiting for about 105 minutes, instead we basically walked right on.
The kids took the front row.
 And away we go!
The kids really enjoyed it and so did we!
We headed to bug land and rode Heimlich's Chew Chew Train.  Um...the kids liked it!  What can I say...

They went to the bumper cars next, it didn't go so well as Olivier did get stuck for most of it.

We tried for one more ride but they had to close it down a bit after we got into line so we headed back to the hotel for the pool!  They were good sports about not being able to ride.
After swimming and hanging out for a bit, we went to Goofy's Kitchen for dinner.  Here is what his kitchen looks like.

The characters come around on a regular basis and we were able to take photos with them.
Every 30 minutes or so they would do a walk around the restaurant.
Some of the characters were very silly.  :-)  It is like they knew our kids are silly too!
Pluto played with his ears much like Goofy!
Do you think the boys are good arm rests?

Olivier got in on the girls photo!
Here is the boys with Minnie!

 Anna liked this poster.
And I liked this cool wall paper!
Nice full bellies after dinner with Goofy!
But don't worry, they are still silly!
 Another great day!
