Sheriff's Day

Last year the kids had a blast at Sheriff's Day that we wanted to make sure we went again this year.  It was a very hot and muggy day but the kids held up fairly well (especially since they are still very tired with school).

After picking up their free shirt we ran over and saw a helecopter land.  Then it was off to see what the Boy Scouts had set up.  Last year Mason really wanted to walk on the rope but he wasn't tall enough.  He was this year but they also had a smaller one that he decided to try.  He really enjoyed it and was so focused.
While Anna and Olivier were waiting they were deciding on our next stop.  The search and rescue boat won!
Then it was off to search and rescue on land.  Mason is hiding under that helmet!
Anna fell in love with the Equistrine Unit.  This horse is named Blaze.  She had to pet all three.  :-)
Another great time at Sheriff's Day.

Library Cards

The boys are now very proud owners of library cards!  I just love how the kids love books!  :-)  Makes this mama very happy!

Mason's teeth...

This story begins roughly two years (yes years!) ago.  Mason fell and bonked his two front top teeth.  They were just the tiniest bit loose since then but it wasn't causing any issues...until last week!  On Tuesday morning he started brushing his teeth and he said "Momma, this bump hurts a little."  Well, turns out that bump was due to an infection.  So after a week of antibiotics we took him in today to have them pulled, in order to protect his permeant teeth.  The baby teeth were close to coming out on their own thankfully, but the next year or so Mason won't have front teeth on top.

Here is the before photo!  And to make his day a bit brighter, Mason was the special panther in his classroom today!
And here is the after!  Gotta love a toothless grin!
