Happy Halloween!

The kids had a lot of fun trick or treating and were not happy to take a photo after we got home but I had to share because Mason is still wearing his mane!  :-) 

Butterfly

The kids (especially Anna) have been very excited to watch caterpillars become butterflies.  With the extreme highs, low temperatures, rain, and wind (blowing the habitat across the yard), they are still surviving!  Crazy!  She was able to take two of them to school and they have released one and are waiting on the second one to make it's debut! 

 

If you are interested to know about the type, they are Gulf Fritillary. 

Early Trick or Treat!

In an effort to get Mason to try on his lion-tiger costume and get the kids out of the house for a bit, we went for some early trick or treating to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  It was a hot day (mid 80's).  

Anna was a ballerina, wearing one of the leotards from when I was a kid.  She has lot of room to grow in it, and I have a feeling we may see this as a costume again!  Anna was very excited to have her hair in a bun. 

A quick photo as home before we left, Mason did not want to wear the mane part of his costume (I was worried he wouldn't) but thankfully on Halloween he wore it the entire time we trick or treated. 

 David and Michelle were also free so Natalie and Rhys were able to join us.  Such cute pink poodles!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we all went to the pumpkin patch!  The kids were very excited and they each wanted a wagon to pull and put pumpkins in.  Thankfully we were able to get them to agree to one wagon.  We went up and down many rows of pumpkins and found the ones that were just right for us. 

After we had our pumpkins, I wanted to take some photos.  Hard to get good photos of them not being too silly!  Anna was more co-operative than the boys but was full of silliness.  

 And she really liked the scarecrow and wanted a photo so she would remember it. 

 The cutout was tough because the kids weren't tall enough so Matt held them up, leading to more silliness!  Anna is up high, Mason down low and Olivier in front. 

 And Mason up high (he wanted to wave and couldn't figure out how) and Olivier down low. 

 They had a great time sitting on the giant pumpkins.  It was tricky for them to stay on and not slide off. 

 We had to try a few different layouts. 

 And of course Anna wanted to try out the top pumpkin as well. 

 Looking more and more like triplets with the boys growing like crazy!  Nice to have some fall weather while getting our pumpkins!  Happy Fall!

Happy 3rd Birthday Natalie!

Today started the round of 3rd Birthday parties!  Hard to believe Natalie, Olivier, Mason, Audrey, and Eli will all be three!  Such an exciting time to watch them grow! 

I got a couple of good photos of Natalie.  Hard to do when they are all on the move!  

 And I love this one, watching her wave like a princess from her carriage.  :-)

Animals!

Today Matt took Anna to a football game (so she would stop asking to go all the time) and I took the boys to see some animals.  They were very excited and asked if they would see chickens.  Not sure why they wanted to see chickens so badly but thankfully we did see one! 

The goats didn't want to come close to them!
