6 month checkup!

Olivier and Mason had their six month checkup today. We talked about what the boys are doing (rolling over, starting to sit up, reaching for objects, chewing on toes, etc) and what they are eating (rice cereal, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots) and how they are growing.

Here are their stats:

Olivier:
27 inches (60th percentile)
16 lbs, 5 ozs (20th percentile)


Mason (who has TWO teeth now and another on the way!):
26.5 inches (40th percentile)
16 lbs, 5 ozs (20th percentile)

6 Months and one tooth!

The boys turned 6 months old today! Mason decided to become a showoff.

We felt Mason's first tooth poking through his gums tonight during a feeding and while we were taking some photos, Mason decided he was ready to sit up on his own for about 20 seconds!

The boys are about 27 inches "tall" and weigh about 15.5 lbs. We'll have official stats later this month when we visit the doctor. Both of the boys talk to us all the time and are rolling over whenever they want. Mason now sleeps on his stomach even though we have him in a swaddle. Olivier doesn't want to be shown up and is becoming more mobile and scooting himself around the floor.

He's really proud of that tooth! They just had cereal and were in a great mood.

We can't leave Anna off of this! Anna took a spill at daycare and scratched up her nose and chin. She's still all smiles and wounds heal. Chicks dig scars but I'm not sure how they feel about them on their own face!

Kids!

We continue to be amazed by everything that the kids are doing! Anna is enjoying some new songs, including the Hokey Pokey. She doesn't always get putting her hand or foot "out" but she really likes the dance at the end. She has also decided she wanted to potty train. She has done really well and we are happy! She made the decision all by herself and we are just letting her take the lead and so far so good! Olivier and Mason are getting so big! Mason seems to really love cereal and Olivier is getting there. Soon we will be giving them carrots, peas, and sweet potatoes. Yum! :-)

Anna has also really been enjoying seeing all the photos on our digital picture frame. Last weekend she decided to kiss the photos and clean the frame, then kiss the next photo, clean, etc. The photos can keep her entertained for quite a while!
