27 weeks 1 day

Today we had an appointment with the specialist. We got to see the boys and find out how they were growing and how they were positioned. Baby A is transverse (almost breech, going from side to side), and weighs 2 lbs 10 oz. Baby B is also transverse and weighs 2 lbs 9 oz. It is very good that they are growing at the same rate and are on the large size even for a singleton pregnancy so they are in very good shape for a twin pregnancy.

Right now we are on track to make it to November 1st (my goal, 36 weeks). There is a lot of time between now and then and you never know what will happen but it is good news so far!

Silly girl

Anna is a very silly girl! Here is a photo of her checking out the camera. When she sees the camera she wants to be behind the camera now and see what it is doing. Silly girl.

Sentence

Anna said her first sentence all on her own this morning! After getting up she went to get a toy out of her crib and when she was successful she said "I got it!" She was very proud of herself and it was very cute to see!

Appointments

Today I had two appointments, one with the specialist and one with the ob/gyn. The appointment with the specialist was first. He check for signs of pre-term labor and all looks good! I think he humored me because they had to move my appointment but he also gave me another peek at the boys and Baby A (aka OJA) is now breech. That explains the pain I have been having the last few day. Yikes! Of course he was camera shy today. Baby B was not camera shy and we got a good 3D image. They didn't do any measurements but all looks good.

Late in the afternoon we met with our ob/gyn and everything looks good. We got to hear both heartbeats and we talked about the road ahead. Basically just taking it week by week and wanting to get the most number of weeks behind us as we can. I have to go in for the last bit of blood work (unless I don't pass the first glucose test).

My goal is to get to November 1st (36 weeks) at least which is just under 11 weeks to go! Wow!

Anna's Pool!

Today Matt set up Anna's pool and Anna and I enjoyed the water. At first Anna was a bit shy about moving around but when we were done she got very upset. That's our water baby!

Lisa's Wedding!

On Saturday, August 15th, my cousin Lisa got married! It was a beautiful ceremony and reception. Such an exciting time!

Diaper party!

On August 9th, Michelle and David threw us a "surprise" diaper party. We really appreciate all the diapers and had a great time with everyone.

Michelle's Baby Shower

On August 8th, we threw a baby shower for Michelle. We had a really good time and I think they are now ready for Natalie Fay to arrive! :-)

Anna was on her way outside when I called her name. I got a quick photo before she went running outside.

Ultrasound

Today we went for another full ultrasound. It was wonderful to see the boys and get an update on their progress. Baby A weights about 1 pound 7 ounces and had a heart rate of 155. Baby B weights about 1 pound 5 ounces and had a heart rate of 153. Baby A was being much more photogenic than Baby B.

Everything is going well and we are just over 23 weeks along, wow! We need to make it to at least October 18th, my goal is at least November 1st. We shall see! It is exciting to think it could be as early as 11 weeks away!

Our next appointment is in two week, more news then.
