11 months - photo!

As promised, here is Anna's photo (taken the next morning!). :-)

11 months old!!!

Anna is eleven months old today and we are in shock! The next month will be very busy (especially with the upcoming trip to Hawaii!) but we will try our best to keep everyone updated. Anna says up when she wants to be picked up, points to our Christmas tree and says "oo oo" for the train, and says "at" when she sees a cat (or dog or probably anything furry!). She continues to take a few steps here and there and is getting more daring and much more steady on her feet. She eats almost everything we eat and is getting the hang of a sippy cup. She is very active and is our silly girl. We once again got a middle of the night wake up call on this month-aversary

We were bad parents though, we didn't get her picture today! I know, we are in trouble! We will try and get one tomorrow but probably won't post for a few days because we will be traveling.

We wish everyone the best for 2009! May it be filled with joy and love!

We had a very nice Christmas and finally let Anna open her gift that she started on Christmas Eve. She is very slow at opening so we had to help her along.
Anna loved the rocking chair at Grandma and Grandpa Arnold's house. Lina was very cute with her pigtails, helping to rock Anna.

I did quite catch it but Anna makes a great grr face. This photo does show off her four teeth though! :-)

Anna had a very good day after a few rough days. We think she may have more top teeth coming in. Enjoy the giggles!

Happy Anniversary

We went out to dinner on for Mark and Linda's 35th wedding anniversary. Their actual anniversary is December 22nd.

Walk

Anna has started taking a few steps when you "hand her off". She has no fear and just goes for it. I am still working on getting a video of the laugh that she has now. :-)

Cruising

Anna has been cruising around on the edge of furniture a lot more the last week or so. I am working on getting a video clip of it because she can really get going. She also loves when we play peak a boo with her around corners and she has a great laugh.

She is getting over a cold now (I know, first the flu, then a bad cold). She has been a real trouper though and hopefully we will be done with the germs for a while!

Great Grandma's 80th

Tree

We have our tree up and decorated. We also have a small train that goes around the tree towards the top. So far Anna has been very good at not playing with the tree but does seem to think it is rather interesting!

Poor Santa

Today we took Anna to see Santa Claus and she was fine until it was time for her to sit on Santa's lap. Needless to say she never got around to telling him what was on her wish list, she was too busy crying. Poor thing!

The flu...

We have been hit by the flu big time. Anna came down with it Monday late in the afternoon, I wasn't feeling well Tuesday and was hit by it full force on Wednesday morning, and Matt got hit with it overnight Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. I think he got the worst of it and still is running a fever. Can you say yuck?!

Welcome to the joys of parenthood!

10 Months Old!

Anna is 10 months old! She has four teeth, eats almost everything we do, crawls like a mad woman, and pulls herself to stand on just about anything. She is not walking on her own yet but loves to walk with us so it probably isn't too far away.

Children's museum

We had fun at the Children's museum with Daneya, Ed, Connor and Ryan on Friday. Here are some of the fun photos we got.

Anna was having fun playing with a ball. Not sure what was making her laugh when she handed me the ball but we thought it was cute!

Matt love to zurbert Anna so she decided to zurbert the sofa.

Anna loves to run with us and Matt was having a blast with her a few nights ago.

Celebrating

This weekend was my birthday and we had record high temperatures (so much for wearing the new sweater I bought!). On Saturday we spent the day with Anna and went out in the evening. On Sunday we went to the park with family and friends! Thank you for sharing in the fun!

Teeth!

Anna's two teeth (top center) are pushing through and we can finally feel the little guys making their grand debut! She has not been a happy camper dealing with them but hopefully the worst has past.

Anna is a crazy crawler and loves to walk with help. She is just starting to let go of things and reach for other things as she is standing and playing. Not really cruising yet but I know it will happen soon!

When we get a photo of the new teeth we will be sure to post! :-)

Family

After Anna's 9 month check-up on Friday we went down to Moreno Valley to see Anna's great grandma and some of my mom's family. We came back on Monday and today we are resting. Last week was a very busy week for both of us.

Anna'a check up

Anna went for her 9 month check-up and is doing well! She is now 28 1/4 inches tall (80th percentile) and weights 19 pounds 3 oz. We are visiting family this weekend and will have lots of photos soon! :-)
